John & Debbie Kearns - Owners

Jones Nursery is the oldest nursery on the Black Horse Pike. One of four nurseries owned by Jones Brothers: Wes, George, Maurice and Harvey. Many of Johns family migrated from Western PA and worked for the Jones Brothers some as long as 40 years. John worked for the Jones also from 1973 to 1985. Debbies parents also were involved in the nursery business and were in direct competition with the Jones. Debbie and John started dating as to the dismay to all involved as there was some friction between the two nurseries. Both John and Debbie left the nursery business that they both grew up in. John and Debbie pursued different careers in landscaping and excavation. In the late 80's, Harvey Jones passed away. The nursery was then left to the family to run. However in the 1990's the nursery had fallen on hard times. In April of 1999 John and Debbie purchased the nursery from Harvey Jones Jr.

From this point on John and Debbie with their staff's help, have made many improvements - automated irrigation system, purchasing of tree spades - skidsteers etc., as well as doubling our container stock and field stock.

Combined our staff has over 80 years experience. We strive to offer quality material at fair pricing and friendly and courteous service.

We have been a member of the Jersey Grown Producer's since 2004. We have further expansions planned.
